SENAITE is a free open-source laboratory information management system (LIMS) released under the GNU General Public License v2.0. The software is derivative work of Bika LIMS and is designed to be more modular architecturally in order to make contributions easier for newcomers and the application easier to maintain.[2]
The software is named after the hard metal titanate mineral of the same name.[2][4]
