Knowage (previously known as SpagoBI prior to 6.0 release) is a free open-source business intelligence suite that includes reporting tools, as well as data management, analysis, and mining tools.
Product history
On February 21, 2005, a SourceForge project was started for the open-source software SpagoBI.[2] However, the developers quickly turned to the OW2 Forge to host their project on June 17[3], though real development wasn't transitioned from SourceForge to OW2 until February 2006.[4] Version 1.0.0 of the software was released on July 25, 2005.[1] Development on the project has been steady since then.
Sometime in 2018, the website revealed that going forward, versions 6.0 and above would be referred to as Knowage, "a more mature product that best meets the criteria of modern business intelligence and advanced analysis of traditional sources and big data."[5]
