Gala Pharmaceutical, Inc. was set to perform chemical and genetic Cannabis laboratory testing, as well as provide consulting and training services[1], possibly as "Gala Analytical." However, something happened to the company, appearing to have halted any forward plans by late 2020.
History
The company was formally founded in Nevada in March 2010.[2] According to its 10K, Gala "was originally formed to provide garment tailoring and alteration services," but it quickly branched out to hemp- and Cannabis-based product research and manufacturing.[3] Gala Pharmaceutical has since incorporated as a foreign stock in the state of California[4] and been approved for a cannabis testing license in the state.[5] Construction on its new Long Beach Cannabis testing facility began in March 2019.[6]
However, by 2021, things appear to have significantly fell apart, for unknown reasons. The company was delinquent in filing paperwork by late 2020 with the state of California, as well as with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and by 2021, all licensing in the state was nullified, and trading was suspended of the company's shares.[4][7] It remains unclear what happened, but the business is considered no longer operational.
