University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is a public research university in the Westwood district of Los Angeles, California, United States, and it's one of the 10 campuses in the University of California (UC) system. The university's UCLA College and 12 professional schools offer 124 undergraduate majors, 98 master’s programs, 109 doctoral and professional programs, and 91 minors to more than 43,000 students.[1] UCLA is classified as a research university with very high research activity by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.[2] The university ranked 24 among national universities and second in "Top Public Schools" according to U.S. News & World Report's 2016 rankings.[3]
