OrangeHRM is a web-based open-source human resource management (HRM) application. The software comes in a fee-based hosted package (OrangeHRM Live) and a free community edition.

Product history

OrangeHRM began as a SourceForge project on January 2, 2006[2], and the first public release of the open-source software arrived a few weeks later as version 0.1.[1]. A steady stream of updates arrived in the following three years, slowly adding more modules to make it a more robust HR solution. In April 2009 the company joined forces with ROSS Canada to better provide support services to Canadians.[3] In July 2010, a SaaS version of OrangeHRM was announced as "OrangeHRM Live."[4]
