Swansea University (Welsh: Prifysgol Abertawe) is a public research university located in Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom. It was originally chartered as University College of Swansea in 1920. Swansea University's academic departments are organized into seven colleges/schools: Arts and Humanities, Human and Health Sciences, Management, Science, Engineering, Law and Criminology, and Medical School. The university enrolled over 13,200 students, and it ranked 43 among best global universities in the U.K. according to U.S. News & World Report's 2016 rankings.[1]
