History

Since 1998 Omnilab web sitesupplies LabOnLine middleware to provide universal connectivity from any instrument to any LIS (Laboratory Information System), whether it is part of the pre-analytical, analytical or post-analytical phase. Middleware is a highly specialized software residing between the LIS (Laboratory Information System) and devices such as diagnostic instruments, front-end automation systems, work-cells or track automation systems to provide additional features to improve automation and to ensure reliable integration. Omnilab is dedicated to identifing and developing features that can improve the value of IT in any clinical Laboratory or blood transfusion laboratory. IVD (In-Vitro Diagnostic) vendors as well as LIS vendors are among the principal entities that can benefit from Omnilab’s experience.

Labonline Target

Through LabOnLine Middleware the user takes full control of the sample life-cycle: . control laboratory workflow . produce reliable test results . control laboratory TAT (Turn-Around-Time) . manage TLA (Total Laboratory Automation) . support laboratory quality accreditation

LabOnLine modules

Lab.Workflow: A tool for the definition of workflow for each sample type, and for tracing its execution; Lab.Statistics: A ready-to-use collection of statistics and reports, covering lab management and day-to-day activities. New or personalized reports can be created by means of an easy-to-use user interface; Lab.Link: Enables instant interoperability of different labs, to create “virtual lab” entities Lab.TAT: A tool for the real-time management of expected Turn-Around Time (TAT) with visual alarms Lab.Viewer: Multilab dashboard interface for real-time monitoring of all activities and real-time notifications Lab.Hematology: A solution dedicated to Hematology management integrating multiple platforms in a unique advanced user interface. Graphical results management and integration of microscopy results. Rules library for automatic blood count validation (“Suggested Criteria for Action Following Automated CBC and WBC Differential Analysis”, Consensus Rules defined by ISLH – The International Society for Laboratory Hematology). Lab.QCM: Real-time QC management, multi-rules, integration with QC Expert systems Lab.Maint: Analyzer maintenance scheduling & tracking. Integrated with Lab.QCM to access analyzer events while troubleshooting QC Lab.Storage: A tool for managing refrigerated sample storage that handles any type of rack and storage location. The process can be manual or automatic via instrument input (e.g. front-end or automation units with integrated refrigeration facilities) Lab.QA (Quality assurance): A tool to offer support for the Certification and Accreditation of the laboratory Lab.POCT: A set of features to enable easy connectivity and management of POCT analyzers Lab.SLM (Sample Logistic Management): An innovative tool to provide laboratories with an effective way to monitor tube movement from multiple collection points to one or more core laboratories, where tubes are processed. Shifts in sample temperature and expected transportation time generate complaints and information is available on the review screen along with other middleware managed data.
