Aquatic Informatics, Inc. develops and distributes laboratory informatics water data management and analysis software solutions.

History

The company was formally founded in 2003 by biologist Edward Quilty.[1][2]

In 2015, the company was ranked 38 among Deloitte’s fastest growing companies in Canada.[3] The company itself stated revenues growth by 30 percent and a doubling of the company’s size to 80 people.[2]

In November 2015, the company announced the transition of its AQUARIUS platform to hosted via the software as a service (SaaS) distribution model.[4] In April 2016, the company announced an expansion of its AQUARIUS suite with the addition of its SaaS-based sample management add-on.[5]

AQUARIUS

The AQUARIUS software suite is a collection of data management applications designed "to acquire, process, model, and publish water data."[6] The suite includes many functions found in a laboratory information management system (LIMS), including sample management and tracking, QA/QC, data processing and analysis, workflow management, third-party portal, instrument interfacing, and reporting.[7]
