Fig. 1 The three-thiered gUSE’s architecture. The three tiers of gUSE’s architecture: WS-PGRADE acts as the user interface, the service layer handles e.g., file, workflow storage. The Job Submission and Data Management layer contains the DCI Bridge, which is responsible to access DCIs. Figure based on Gottdank's "gUSE in a Nutshell".
