University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (also known as UW–Milwaukee, UWM, or Milwaukee) is a public research university located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States. The university is organized into 14 schools and colleges offering 96 bachelor's, 64 master's, and 33 doctoral programs.[1] Milwaukee is classified as a research university with very high research activity by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.[2] The university enrolled more than 27,000 students, and its online bachelor's programs ranked 39 according to U.S. News & World Report's 2016 rankings.[3]
