University of Utah (also referred to as The U, the U of U, or Utah) is a public research university in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. The university is organized into 17 colleges and schools. The university is classified as a research university with very high research activity by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.[1] The university enrolled more than 31,500 students, and it ranked 111 among all national universities and 51 among "Top Public Schools" according to U.S. News & World Report's 2016 rankings.[2]
