An analysis type, as defined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency via its SEDD Specification Version 5.2, is "a term used to define the type of analysis (e.g., initial, confirmation, MSA)." The EPA adds that, "this term is also used to uniquely identify a single analysis from multiple analyses that are used to generate a single result."[1]
