Dotmatics Limited develops and distributes laboratory informatics software solutions.

History

In June 2020, the company acquired BioBright, LLC, a lab data automation company "automating the flow of data from laboratory instruments to a secure cloud."[1]

In September 2020, the company announced the release of eln.online, a "quick start version" of its Studies Notebook electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) "designed specifically to meet the needs of research organizations at an early stage in their development."[2]

Former technology

One-Click Chemistry ELN was "a pre-configured version of the Dotmatics’ flagship software solution: Studies Notebook."[3] The software is offered under the SaaS distribution model.

In September 2020, a "quick start version" of Studies Notebook for new labs—known as eln.online—was announced.[2] Dotmatics described the ELN as "a simple hosted edition design to allow small research teams to jump-start their discovery journey," suitable for 10 or few users and running as a multi-tenant SaaS instance type.[4] Sometime in late 2022 or 2023, the company removed references to eln.online on its websites, and the solution is presumably discontinued.
