Expected result uncertainty

Expected result uncertainty, as defined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency via its SEDD Specification Version 5.2, is "the estimated amount, expressed as a symmetric interval centered on the expected result, by which the expected result may differ from the true value due to all effects related to analysis by the laboratory."[1]
