Dakota State University is a public university located in Madison, South Dakota. The university has a technology centric focus with programs in computer and information science, business, education, natural sciences, liberal arts, among other graduate and undergraduate programs. The university requires all full-time undergraduate students to use tablet computers and laptops in their classes along with taking an introduction to computers course and an introductory programming course as part of their curriculum.
In 2016, U.S. News and World Report ranked the university 108 among regional Midwest universities.[1]
