Orchard Software Corporation develops and distributes clinical and laboratory informatics software solutions.

History

On September 30, 2019, Francisco Partners Management LP announced its intent to acquire Orchard Software. At that time it was not clear how a successful acquisition would affect Orchard structurally, other than to say that a new CEO would be succeeding original founder and CEO Rob Bush.[1][2]

Technology and products

Orchard Harvest and Sequoia

Orchard Harvest is a laboratory information system (LIS) "that maximizes process automation and decision-support technology to improve the efficiency of laboratory workflow, reduce errors, and increase the value of laboratory services to providers and patients."[3]

Orchard Sequoia is an enterprise-class LIS "designed with the needs of the ever-growing laboratory in mind, with a focus on scalability, flexibility, rules-based decision support, data analytics, and seamless integration."[4]
