University of Hamburg (German: Universität Hamburg) is a comprehensive public university in Hamburg, Germany. The main campus is located in the central district of Rotherbaum, with affiliated institutes and research centers spread around the city state. The university boasts 27 departments spread across eight faculties, providing education to more than 37,000 students.[1] The university ranked 121 among all universities, and its physics programs ranked 39 according to U.S. News & World Report's 2016 rankings.[1]
