History
On May 5, 2010, the ABB Group announced it had acquired Atlanta, Georgia-based Ventyx, Inc. for more than $1 billion.[1][2]
On May 9, 2011, the ABB Group announced it had acquired Mincom Pty. Ltd. and would be integrating it with its subsidiary Ventyx, Inc.[3][4] On February 6, 2012, ABB announced it had "completed the organizational integration of Mincom."[5]
On January 30, 2015, ABB announced Ventyx would become ABB Enterprise Software[6], essentially becoming fully absorbed into ABB along with CCLAS.[7]
Technology and products
CCLAS and Knowledge Manager
CCLAS is a laboratory information management system (LIMS) "for mining and metal processing, provides a wide range of tools to help laboratories optimize their processes and ensure quality results."[8] The software is can be installed locally or hosted in the cloud via the SaaS distribution model.[8]
Knowledge Manager is a LIMS that "drastically simplifies production management by enabling performance monitoring, downtime management and maintenance support, as well as providing statistical production analysis tools."[9]
