Labii, Inc. is an American software company headquartered in Mountain View, California that develops and distributes software as a service. Their software products include an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN), Inventory Manager, Website Builder, Academic Profiles, and PubCritic.

History

Labii, LLC was founded in September 2014[1] by Yonggan Wu from Stanford University. In November 2015, Labii LLC converted to Labii Inc.[1], a C-Corporation, with founders Yonggan Wu and Corbin Chase from the University of California, San Diego[2].

On March 1, 2016, the company announced the Labii suite platform was fully released and available for purchase.[3].

Technology and products

Labii ELN

Labii ELN is a web-based, template-based electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) focused on "simplify[ing] the adjustments between protocols and [decreasing] the time required for preparation between experiments and time spent recording notes and observations during each experiment."[4] As of November 2015, the software is still in beta development.

Per the company's support page: "On the topic of pricing, because you're within our first 1000 users, you get a free license! Once beta testing is completed we'll start charging on a monthly basis but will continue free licenses for those that contribute toward the betterment of our products..."[5][6]
