While this arguably may not be an authoritative list of organizations and not-for-profits relating to clinical laboratories, reference laboratories, physician office laboratories, or other aspects of health informatics, an attempt has been made to make it thorough.

  • Health On the Net Foundation: HON; a non-governmental organization that "promotes and guides the deployment of useful and reliable online health information, and its appropriate and efficient use"
  • Healthcare Informatics Society of Ireland: HISI; incorporates the Healthcare Informatics sections of the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland and of the Irish Computer Society; strives to develop knowledge and promote research in healthcare informatics
