Category:General LIS

This is a subcategory specific to the Category:LIS vendors by industry. This category should only be attached to a LIS vendor or product that caters to this specific industry.

This category is for those vendors that create an LIS solution that is marketed or recognized (typically based on website information) as being a potential solution for any laboratory, regardless of the industry/sector the laboratory functions in. Keep in mind that this categorization doesn't preclude the existence of industry-specific modules or add-ons for that LIS. In the case of such a LIS/vendor, it should be attached to the "General LIS" category as well as any relevant categories based on the industry-specific modules or add-ons.

There is a set of basic criteria (arguably) that a LIS should have in order to be classified as a general all-purpose LIS solution. (More details to come.)
