Aspect is a cloud-based "distributed" laboratory information system (LIS) designed such "that labs, clinics and health organizations can use operational and clinical information from connected point-of-care (POC) diagnostic devices to better take care of their patients and more skillfully and efficiently manage their growing fleets of medical diagnostic devices."^[2] The Aspect Reporter add-on adds mobile-based portal access to test results.^[3] The first-generation version of Aspect is GxAlert, which is still deployed in more than 38 countries.^[4]
