Open Elms is free web-based open-source learning management software.
Product history
Open Elms started out as proprietary software created by British software development company e-Learning WMB. Work on the software began sometime before 2005 and was given away freely with e-learning courses developed for other clients.[2][1] Sometime in late 2006 the company decided to release the software under the open-source model.[2] A SourceForge project was started on April 13, 2007[3], and its assumed the first public open-source release of Open Elms came with version 5.1 of the software.[1] Since then the software has been available both via SourceForge and by registering on the company's website.
