Tesi Elettronica e Sistemi Informativi SpA develops and distributes health and laboratory informatics software solutions.
History
The company was reportedly founded in 1981.[1]
Technology and products
Weblab, Weblab.MDW, Pathox, and TESI View
Weblab is described as "an open system" that "manages the Laboratory, ensuring total control and traceability of analytical processes in compliance ‘with international standards most’ popular." It's not clear if the solution is a laboratory information system (LIS), but the company's description of the solution as an "integrated information system for laboratory analysis" makes the solution sound LIS-like.[2]
Weblab also has a companion application called Weblab.MDW "that allows instrumental interfacing and is equipped with a single, simple and intuitive user interface that allows you to control the entire analytical instrumentation from any location."[2]
Pathox is described as "an innovative system that allows the complete management of the entire workflow of the pathology services in native mode and the integration of the macroscopic and microscopic image management."[2] Though not described as a LIS by the company, Fraggetta et al. describe the system as a LIS in their 2021 research paper published in Diagnostics.[3] Pathox also has several modules—Telepathox, Micropathox, and Macropathox—that extend the capabilities of Pathox.[2]
TESI View is a web-based picture archiving and communication system (PACS) "which integrates the archiving and viewing features of DICOM and non-DICOM images, and can be installed on a central server."[4]
