Harris Systems USA, Inc. (doing business as Harris Computer Systems) develops and distributes enterprise software solutions for a wide variety of markets and industries.

History

The company has its roots dating back to the N. Harris Computer Corporation, which was founded in 1976.[1] In 1996, that company was acquired by Constellation Software, Inc.[1]

Harris Systems USA, Inc. was formally founded as U.S.-registered foreign corporation in April 2011.[2]

In August 2020, Harris announced that it had acquired The Computer Solution Company of Virginia, LLC (TCSC) and its division Forensic Advantage Systems.[3] That division appears to have been moved under the Caliber Public Safety division of Harris, which remains responsible for developing and distributing Forensic Advantage LIMS.[4]

Technology and products

Forensic Advantage

Forensic Advantage is a laboratory information management system (LIMS) "designed and developed to address the unique case and evidence management requirements of local, state and federal forensic laboratories, law enforcement agencies, medical examiners and digital forensic labs."[5] The software appears to come in a Crime Lab and Medical Examiner edition and can be offered either as a local install or hosted in the cloud. The software is maintained by Harris division Caliber Public Safety.[5]
