Asterian, LLC develops and distributes laboratory informatics software. The company also provides consulting and marketing services to other labs.
History
The company was founded in March 2019[1] by several former employees of eLab Solutions Corporation. That same month, Asterian acquired QuikLIMS from eLab.[2] Asterian seems to have initially integrated QuikLIMS as a toxicology module in its ArgoLIMS solution.[3][4] However, it appears QuikLIMS was later broken out into a separate offering by the company.
Technology and products
ArgoLIMS and QuickLIMS
ArgoLIMS is a cloud-based laboratory information management system (LIMS) "for clinical and forensic laboratories" that "provides a comprehensive suite of applications for the management of data across the full lifecycle of laboratory testing."[5]
QuikLIMS is a cloud-based LIS-like clinical solution marketed as "a control and management system for analysis laboratories."[6] This solution was previously a toxicology module in its ArgoLIMS software.[3][4]
