BTLIMS Technologies is a software company that develops and distributes the laboratory information management system software BTLIMS.
History
Initial development of BTLIMS began in 2002, with the first version of the software released in 2006, strongly focusing on environmental laboratories.[1]
Technology and products
BTLIMS, ICM, LDM, and SDMS
BTLIMS is a modular, desktop-based laboratory information management system (LIMS) "that can automate workflow, simplify processes, and improve productivity."[2]
ICM (Inventory Control Manager) is inventory management software for laboratories, allowing users to "manage chemicals and supplies for the whole life cycle in the laboratory."[3]
LDM (Lab Data Master) is described as a web-based, "lean, yet fully functional LIMS" that "offers the tools of a complete LIMS but with a small footprint and affordable pricing," designed "for smaller labs that only need certain functions and don’t have the server space for an executive level LIMS."[4]
SDMS (not to be confused with a scientific data management system) is described as a "sample data management system" that can inteface with a LIMS (or act alone), designed "to dynamically create raw data entry templates and report templates while keeping compliance with ISO 17025 and maintaining traceability throughout all directions of the processes."[5]
Features
The following feature list(s) is/are derived solely from public, freely-available online information the vendor provides. A lack of a "Y" does not necessarily mean that the product doesn't have that feature. The lack of a "Y" could mean:
