University of Memphis, also called UofM, is a public research university located in the Normal Station neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee, United States. The university is organized into 13 colleges and schools offering "17 bachelor's degrees in more than 250 areas of study, Master's degrees in 54 subjects, [and] Doctoral degrees in 26 disciplines."[1] UofM is classified as a research university with high research activity by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.[2] The university enrolled more than 20,500 students, and several of its graduate-level health programs ranked top-25 according to U.S. News & World Report's 2016 rankings.[3]
