Baytek International, Inc. develops and distributes laboratory informatics software solutions.
History
Sometime in 2013, the company's WinBLISS product was renamed to VortalBLISS.[1] Roughly in the fall of 2017, the company introduced cBLISS[2], and eventually the company's Micro- and VortalBLISS products were phased out.
Older technology
MicroBLISS was a laboratory information management system (LIMS) that "capitalizes on Baytek International's 25+ years of success in the refinery LIMS industry."[3]
VortalBLISS was a web-based LIMS that acts as a "'fit for purpose' solution for manufacturing lab automation."[4]
WebBLISS was "an off-the-shelf query and reporting tool specially developed for Baytek International’s BLISS LIMS."[5]
Current technology and products
cBLISS, iPRO, OASIS, and other solutions
cBLISS is a cloud-based LIMS marketed as a "'fit for purpose' solution for manufacturing lab automation." The software can be hosted in the cloud or installed locally.[6]
iPRO is data acquisition software that "allows technicians to efficiently perform many instrument management activities, like developing sequence files for several popular chromatography packages," as well as autosamplers and other non-chromatography instruments.[7]
OASIS appears to be middleware that "automates the management of online analyzer data correlation and model creation." Baytek adds that it "captures online predictions and associated spectra files then automatically correlates these predictions with the appropriate laboratory primary method data ... [which] allows for powerful charting and chemometric modeling pre-work."[8]
QC/PLUS is a suite of analytical measurement system performance monitoring tools "tailored from the ground up for D6299, ISO 4259, and Tier 3 workflows at the technician, chemist, and quality manager levels."[9]
SQCPRO is web-based statistical quality control (SQC) software that "gives you the power to see where you are going and control your process."[10]
The company also offers hardware-based automation solutions for labs, including BayID (sample tracking), RFIVial (RFID toolkit), and TurboTube (automated sample vial distribution).
