Pricing
Source for pricing information is the 2012 LIMS Buyer's Guide.[5] As prices may change at any time, always contact the vendor directly to obtain a price list or quote.
There are three pricing methods for O3 Lims:
1. You can pay a one-time site license fee (approximately €35,000) + an annual support and development fee of 15% (of the current license fee). The support and development fee will partly depend on the size of the laboratory. Included in the prices are usually all startup costs and parts in O3 Lims. The option exists for vendor hosting or self-hosting the application.
2. You can rent/hire the software for a monthly fee, which is very flexible and depends on the customer's needs and the value that O3 Lims brings to the customer. Approximate costs are €1200/month, support and development fee included. The option exists for vendor hosting or self-hosting the application.
3. You can take a pay-per-sample route, which features a quarterly charge based on number of samples and reported samples. There is also a small fee per month (about €60) to cover backups and hosting costs. Prices per sample range from roughly 10 cents to €1.80. Price per reported sample: about €1. Charges are capped at about €1500/quarter, with no extra charges for more samples.
Additional pricing estimates for O3 LimsXpress usage costs exist, but the cost calculator is only available in Swedish (though with some translation help).
