Puyallup Tribal Cannabis Enterprises, Inc. is a for-profit corporation owned by the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, organized to manage its Cannabis-related businesses, including retail operation Commencement Bay Cannabis and chemical Cannabis testing laboratory Medicine Creek Analytics.[1][2]
History
In early 2016, the state of Washington signed a special "compact" with the Puyallup Tribe of Indians to allow them to create a Cannabis testing laboratory, the first such tribal-owned lab in the country. The compact states that Medicine Creek Analytics, the new lab, would provide quality assurance testing and Cannabis research.[3]
