The company was formally founded in Pennsylvania in March 2017.[1] In May 2018 the company was formally allowed to test in North Dakota, operating as Dakota State Testing.[2] The ND lab became registered in June 2018.[3]
At some point in late 2020 or early 2021, Keystone removed its Dakota State Testing location from its website. It's not clear what happened, only that in late 2021, The Dickinson Press casually indicated that Adams Independent Testing, LLC was testing medical marijuana for the state of North Dakota.[4] Presumably some transition occurred, with Dakota State Testing leaving and Adams Independent Testing stepping in, but it's not clear when this transition occurred.
