A lab reporting batch, as defined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency via its SEDD Specification Version 5.2, is "a laboratory-defined identifier that is used to link multiple samples reported as a group by the laboratory. In addition, this batch can be used to link certain quality control (QC) samples to field samples."[1]
