Openbravo ERP is a web-based open-source enterprise resource planning (ERP) application for small- to medium-sized businesses. The software comes in a commercial Professional Edition and a free Community Edition.
Product history
The Openbravo open-source project began on SourceForge on March 9, 2006[2], buoyed by a three-year investment of five million euros by Spanish entity SODENA earlier in January.[3] A version 2.0 release of Openbravo ERP arrived on April 18[1], followed by numerous improvements to the software. On January 5, 2007, the company (Openbravo S.L.) announced its software had been downloaded over 200,000 times.[4] By late February the official website for the business and software went live.[5] Since then releases of both the Professional and Community editions have been steady[6], with the latest stable version (3.0MP18) released on December 14, 2012.
