The Staged Electronic Data Deliverable (SEDD) is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-backed "uniform format for electronic delivery of analytical data for environmental programs that can significantly improve data quality while reducing costs to review data."[1] The format is used primarily for EPA Response Action Contractor (RAC) contracts, EPA Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) contracts, and by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).[2] The EPA offers an SEDD Generator Tool to those and other contracting laboratories so they may transmit analytical data to the EPA in an Extensible Markup Language (XML)-compliant format.[3]
