Sempai Consulting Ltd. & Co. KG offers IT management consulting services and develops and distributes scarabPLUS, a pharma-ERP software application.
History
Sempai Consulting Ltd. & Co. KG was created in November 2010 by Manuel Drösler[1], who was also affiliated with scarabaeusTEC GmbH[2] (which shortly after became scarabTEC GmbH[3]).
In July 2016, arivis AG officially divested itself of the scarabTEC business unit (including its previously offered scarabPLUS and scarabLIMS offerings), selling it to Sempai Consulting.[citation needed]
Technology and products
scarabPLUS
scarabPLUS is an end-to-end pharmaceutical-focused enterprise resource planning (ERP) application that also contains a fully integrated laboratory information management system (LIMS). (The LIMS was previously advertised as a separate component to scarabPLUS.[4]) The system "represents all processes of the pharmaceutical operation - from qualified procurement and the receipt of goods through the planning and control of production to quality control."[5]
Aside from the LIMS features (shown below in the table), the ERP also features article and warehouse management, batch tracing, production cost calculation, electronic manufacturing instructions, stability series programs, change management, software interfacing, and GxP compliance.[5]
